Inspiration Card
An inspiration card is for the ideas and sparks you don't want to lose. An article that reframed how you think, a video that gave you an idea, a reference you want to return to — capture it with a source URL so it's findable later, not just memorable.
How to Create
Press n to open the New Card menu, or the number key matching Inspiration's position in your enabled card types (typically 4).
- Tap New Card from anywhere in the app.
- Choose Inspiration from the card type list.
- Add a title and description in the Card Info point.
- Fill in the Inspiration point with type, source, and tags.
The Inspiration Point
The Related point (Point 3) on an inspiration card has three fields:
- Inspiration Type — Categorize the kind of idea. An article, a concept, a technique, a person's work — whatever label helps you find it later.
- Source URL — Paste the link where you found it. If it came from a physical source or a conversation, leave this blank and note it in the description.
- Tags — Add freeform tags to make the card searchable alongside related ideas.

Tips
- Write why it sparked something. The source tells you where it came from; the Card Info description is where you capture what it made you think.
- Use Inspiration Type consistently. Pick a short vocabulary and stick to it — "article," "video," "talk," "quote" — so browsing by type stays useful over time.
- Tag broadly at first. Tags are flexible. You can refine your system as your collection grows. Assign cards to Decks to organize across card types (Point 4 on the card).
- Don't wait. Inspiration cards work best when created in the moment. A rough title and the URL is enough — you can fill in the rest later.
