Goalies & Strikers
StarKicks has a cast of fourteen: seven goalies you shoot against and seven strikers you defend against. The matchup is the same for every player on any given day — learning the cast is the long game.
The Weekly Calendar
Each goalie owns a day of the week, permanently:
| Day | Goalie |
|---|---|
| Monday | Moonshot |
| Tuesday | Turntable |
| Wednesday | Wembley |
| Thursday | Threepeat |
| Friday | Frankenstar |
| Saturday | Saturn |
| Sunday | Supervoid |
The seven strikers — Moped, Turbo, Westwind, Threadneedle, Fritz, Satellite, and Sundown — rotate through the week, so every goalie-and-striker pairing comes up exactly once per 49-day season. The pregame screen always shows today's pairing and teases tomorrow's.

Tells
Before every kick and every defense, your opponent gives a tell — a shift in posture and a line of chatter hinting where they'll go. Tells aren't random noise: each character follows their own fixed rule for when the tell is honest and when it lies. One keeper never lies; another alternates; another lies more the better your day is going.
Those rules never change, and the game never hides them behind luck — cracking a character's pattern is how you get better, and it's knowledge you keep forever.
Character Personalities
Every character plays differently in ways you'll feel within a round or two:
- Goalies differ in how fast their timing bar sweeps (the pregame card shows each keeper's bar speed) and in how their tells behave.
- Strikers differ in how they pick their shots — some commit to a corner, some react to what you do — and in Nerve, a printed stat for how often the moment eats them and they miss all on their own. A jittery striker sometimes blazes it over with no help from you.
- A few have signature tricks. Fritz, the Friday striker, gives no tell at all — literal static — but misses plenty on his own. Others have moves you'll discover at the Spot (and specific gear exists to counter each one).
