Settings
Settings is where you make StarCards yours. Update your account details, upload an avatar, and — most importantly — shape your Daily Card template so your morning prompts reflect exactly what you want to capture each day. Access Settings by tapping your avatar in the top-right corner and selecting Settings.
Account
The Account section covers the basics: your display name, email address, and password. Changes save immediately after confirmation.
- Name — shown on your profile and in exported cards
- Email — used for login and notifications
- Password — update anytime; you'll be prompted to confirm your current password first
- Avatar — upload a profile photo (JPEG or PNG); it appears in the top-right corner throughout the app
Card Starters
Card Starters is the main personalization feature in StarCards. This is the default template that auto-populates every new Daily Card when you open one for the day.
The default starters include sections for Headlines, Personal Events, Feeling Score, Intentions, Notes Log, and Gratitude — but these are just a starting point. Use the built-in rich text editor to rewrite, reorder, remove, or add any sections you want. If your daily practice centers on priorities and a gratitude list, cut everything else. If you want a workout log or a mood tracker, add it.
Your Card Starter applies to every new Daily Card going forward. Existing cards are not affected.

Card Types
Card Types lets you control which card types appear in the New Card menu. If you only use a handful of card types, hiding the others keeps the menu clean and fast.
Toggle any card type on or off — Memory, Inspiration, Quote, Media, Goal, Business, Study, and Topic. Disabled types are just hidden, not deleted; re-enable them anytime to see them in the menu again.
Notifications
Choose how and when StarCards can reach you — daily card reminders, task nudges, or system announcements. Notification preferences can also be managed at the OS level on your device.
Theme
Switch between light and dark appearance to suit your environment.
Sharing & Export
Any card can be shared publicly or exported as JSON (one file per card) from its Settings & Share point — the share options cover Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Email, plus a public card URL. See Cards for more on card actions.
