Search
Search lets you find anything in StarCards — cards, tasks, decks, and Star Tags — including archived items. Press f or / from anywhere in the app to open search instantly, or tap the search icon in the top navigation bar — results appear as you go.
How to Search
Tap the search icon in the top nav. Type any word or phrase; autocomplete suggestions appear after the first few characters. Tap a suggestion or a result to open the card directly.
What Gets Searched
Search spans Cards, Tasks, Decks, and Star Tags — including archived items:
- Cards — by title and description
- Tasks — by task title
- Decks — your named card collections
- Star Tags — the shared labels across cards and tasks
Archived items are included, so you can always surface something you put away.
Narrowing Your Results
Search returns all matching results across your entire history. To narrow further, take the result to the Cards view and apply additional filters:
- Card type — Daily, Stat, or custom types
- Deck — filter to a specific Deck collection
You can also browse the Cards view directly and use the Deck dropdown to filter without searching by text.
Tips
- Short, distinctive words work better than full phrases.
- If you remember which Deck a card belongs to, filtering by Deck in the Cards view may be faster than searching.
