Boosts
Boosts are one-use powerups you can activate during a game to shift the odds in your favor. There are three boosts, each changing a different aspect of the pitch — and each comes with a cooldown timer before it can be used again.

The Three Boosts
Voodoo Throw
Forces the pitch type to match your current guess. If you've committed to Curveball, activating Voodoo Throw guarantees a Curveball is on the way. Best used when you're confident in your read from the Tell Phase but want to eliminate any doubt.
Power Boost
Expands your catch circle during the Catch Phase. A wider target zone means more margin for error — useful when facing a high-velocity pitcher or a planet you're still learning. Power Boost doesn't improve your catch quality tier, but it gives you a better chance of landing inside the zone at all.
Down the Middle
Forces the pitch to land at dead center. Combined with a well-timed click, this gives you the best shot at a Galaxy-quality catch. Save this one for moments when you want the highest possible result — not just a successful catch, but the best one.
Cooldown System
Each boost has a cooldown timer after use — you can't activate the same boost again until the timer expires. Cooldown length is tied to your player tier:
| Tier | Cooldown |
|---|---|
| Rookie | Longest |
| All-Star | Reduced |
| Legend | Shorter |
| Hall of Fame | Shortest |
Reaching higher tiers through consistent play gives you more frequent access to boosts — another reason to complete tasks daily and build your ticket count each week.
Strategy
- Unsure of the pitch type? Use Voodoo Throw after the tell and lock in your guess.
- Struggling to hit the zone? Power Boost buys you room, especially on fast or unpredictable planet pitchers.
- Confident in everything except execution? Down the Middle removes placement as a variable entirely.
